Golf Course

The Ogden Golf & Country Club is nestled between the majestic mountain peaks of Mt. Ogden and Ben Lomond in the greater Ogden area. Being the oldest club at the original location in the state of Utah, the OGCC has rich traditions for golf. The golf course has hosted many prestigious professional and amateur events, including the PGA Korn Ferry Tour Utah Championship, Utah Open, the Men & Women Utah State Amateur Championships, Junior America’s Cup, and the Utah LPGA Title in 1964.

Course Information

The original 9 holes were designed and built in 1914 by local golf enthusiasts who identified Ogden as a premier location for Ogden Golf & Country Club. With Ben Lomond and Mt. Ogden as the mountain backdrop, they couldn’t go wrong.

Ernie Schneiter Sr., the golf professional for 19 years, designed the current front nine holes which were added to the course in 1948.

The junior clinics expose junior golfers to a variety of golf topics and fundamental swing mechanics including: grip, posture, ball position, the full swing, putting, chipping, sand shots, etiquette, rules of the game, and safety. The junior clinics start the first part of May, and end the last part of August. Classes are broken down by age group and skill level.

Junior league gives junior golfers a chance to practice and improve the skills learned in the junior clinics. In the junior league, junior golfers play golf on the golf course. They learn how to play different golf formats including; scrambles, best balls and alternate shots. Juniors are also taught golf etiquette and rules on the course.
